This Academy offers a huge range of sports and physical activities for students aged 9-17 years. You can participate in an exciting programme of indoor and outdoor activities aimed at improving your knowledge, skills and performance in multiple sports. Students are split into small groups according to age and ability and are led by qualified and enthusiastic coaches.
The Multi-sports Academy will provide an opportunity for students to experience the following sports through the week:
- Swimming
- Cricket
- Football
- Athletics
- Tennis
- Badminton
- Fitness
- Netball
- Hockey
- Tag Rugby (due to Summer conditions)
Students will spend a minimum of 2 hours per week on each activity. Allowing them a platform to improve their knowledge, skills and performance.
On the final day of the Academy, there will be a ‘Competitions Day’ where groups will be split into teams and compete. This will conclude with presentations, prizes and awards.

The St Edmund’s Summer Choral Course is an opportunity for all keen singers aged 12-18 to explore new repertoire, develop choral technique, meet like-minded people and experience the beautiful grounds and chapel of St Edmund’s College. The course will include rehearsal time, performance opportunities, conducting workshops and culminate in a recording and final performance for an invited audience (if possible due to COVID regulations).
The course will be led by James Woodhall, Director of Music at St Edmund’s College, alongside Christopher Benham, College Organist. Additional masterclasses will be led by guests who are experts in vocal technique and choral conducting.
There will be no audition; however, a short reference from a singing or music teacher will be required alongside your registration to join the course. This is simply to ensure that we place you in the correct section of the choir and that the course choir is balanced. Places are limited, so early booking is recommended.

This exciting new course aims to introduce students to the use of observational drawing, watercolour studies, moonprints and sculpture in contemporary art; this will enable you to expand your artistic vocabulary, develop your portfolio and experiment with mediums that you may not be very familiar with.
Each day will begin with an introduction to artists who use specific methods and materials in their work, to inspire you and contextualise the lessons. In the morning, you will be taught different techniques and in the afternoon, you will apply these techniques to a project (either your own idea or one suggested by the tutor). There will be time for one-to-one guidance and input from the tutor, to further help and encourage you to develop your own ideas and artistic projects.

For young players looking to develop their cricket skills, be active, get fit and receive expert coaching while having fun. Attending our Academy offers young players a chance to learn new skills, develop existing skills, make new friends, gain experience of competing as well as keeping them focused, active and engaged throughout the holidays.
A typical Academy will include: fitness for cricket, fielding drills, skills sessions, one-to-one coaching, net practice, competitive match situations and more.
