St Edmund's College
Summer School 2020

St Edmund's College is a fully residential campus during the summer school. There are around 200 student beds: 100 beds for girls and 100 beds for boys.

Typically, students live in twin study bedrooms with 2 beds in each room*. Bedrooms are arranged in corridors for boys and corridors for girls. Students of a similar age live in the same corridor. In each bedroom there are 2 students of different nationality, so that the children can make new friends from different countries and practise their English more. Each corridor has its own showers and toilets.

After a very busy day of school classes and activities, there are TV/common rooms and games rooms for the evenings, and public telephones for receiving telephone calls. There are also computer rooms for the evening, and Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the College.

Residential House Parents live on the corridors with the children; they are responsible for making sure that the children are healthy and happy. Each day the house parents speak to the children together in the corridors to inform them about the day's activities and go over any problems or concerns they may have.

* Occasionally we may need to move children into single or 3-bed bedrooms.
